Things have been moving so quickly here at Stitch Central recently that it’s easy to forget that it’s only a little over two months since we announced ourselves to the world.
In fact, we’re not sure you could even call it an “announcement” …
It’s flattering for an older woman when a guy passes up on the younger girls in favor of her.
Unlike a lot of younger women who are still exploring the dating world, older women have a much stronger idea of what they want.In my mid-fifties, however, I found myself single again, and remained so until well into my sixties. Anyway, I went out with some of them and found that dating when one’s older brings various challenges. The first thing I discovered was the chronic shortage of available men. I can understand this – nice firm body, the rejuvenating prospect of starting over again, maybe more kids. In a long marriage you age together; in a weird way your spouse remains that young person you first knew, you hardly notice the wrinkles and the thickening waist. When I meet a man he mirrors back to me my own mortality. For instance, there was the tooth business, or the lack of them. Now while older women are often interested in (or at least open to) dating younger men, that doesn’t mean they’re interested in dating “boys”.They want strong, powerful men and you’ve got to show her you’re that kind of man – who just happens to be a bit younger. You can start with strong, confident body language and eye contact.Stand up straight and keep your movements controlled and purposeful (avoid fidgeting).
